You’re functioning.
But inside your body, it still feels like survival.

A 6-week guided somatic movement journey for widowed women who feel stuck in survival mode and want to feel safe enough in their bodies to truly live again.

WITHIN is not about analysing your grief.

It’s about helping your body stop bracing for impact.

It’s about gently teaching your nervous system that danger is not constant anymore.

So you can breathe without effort.
Sleep without dread.
Move through your days without white-knuckling them.

WITHIN - in detail
THE TRUTH ABOUT SURVIVAL MODE

When everything that felt safe disappeared, your body didn’t just feel sad.

It went into shock.

And it hasn’t really come out of it.

Your muscles are tight because they’re bracing.
Your chest is tight because it’s guarding.
Your stomach is tight because it’s holding.

Your system is on alert.

All the time.

Your brain keeps scanning for danger.
Your body keeps preparing for impact.

And it’s exhausting.

You can talk about what happened.
You can understand it logically.

But your nervous system doesn’t run on logic.

It runs on signals.

And right now, the signals it’s receiving are:
“Stay alert.”
“Stay braced.”
“Don’t drop your guard.”

Talking alone doesn’t switch that off.

Your body needs a different message.

It needs to feel safety — not think about it.

That’s why this work begins in the body.

Through slow, intentional movement.
Through grounding.
Through breath.
Through bringing gentle attention to the places that are gripping.

When you connect with the tension instead of fighting it…
When you listen to what your body is holding…
When you allow those tight, braced places to be felt instead of overridden…

Something shifts.

The nervous system receives a new signal.

You are safe enough.

And when the body starts to believe that…

The brain follows.

WHAT WITHIN IS (AND ISN’T)

WITHIN is not about fixing what happened.

It is not about analysing your grief in more detail.
It is not about forcing positivity.
It is not about “moving on.”

It is about changing how your body carries what happened.

This program works through:

• Gentle, body-led movement that releases held tension in the body (and mind).
• Grounding practices that help your body feel supported instead of braced.
• Breathwork that calms the stress response in real time.
• Guided meditation that softens anxious thinking.
• Simple daily rituals for morning and bedtime that slowly retrain your nervous system to recognise safety again.

You will not be flooded.
You will not be pushed.

You will repeat simple, steady practices.

Repetition builds familiarity.
Familiarity builds safety.
Safety allows your body to soften.

This is experiential.

You learn by doing.
And by returning.
Again and again.

WHY A CALM NERVOUS SYSTEM CHANGES EVERYTHING

When your body is constantly flooded with fear, tension and anxiety, it is nearly impossible to think clearly.

Every decision feels overwhelming.

Your nervous system is quietly screaming: danger.

So you second-guess yourself.
You freeze.
You avoid.
You choose from fear instead of alignment.

It becomes hard to know what you need.
What feels right.
What you actually want for this next chapter of your life.

But when your body begins to feel safe — even in small, repeated moments — something shifts.

“My mind was clear for the first time in so long.”

SP

“Sleeping longer and deeper than I have since my husband died.”

KA

“A huge invisible weight has lifted.”

JH

WHAT SHIFTS

Mental clarity gradually returns.

You can think without the constant static of anxiety.
You can make decisions about your life from a steady place.
You can act from compassion — for yourself and for others — rather than from panic or pressure.

This is not just about feeling calmer in the moment.

This is about being able to build a life that feels intentional, not reactive.

This is about having access to yourself — your wisdom, your knowing, your capacity — when you need it most.

A calm nervous system is not a luxury.

It is the foundation for everything else.

By the End of Six Weeks...

You will not be “over” your grief.

But you will feel different in your body.

• You will know it is possible to stop feeling permanently stuck in survival mode.
• You will experience real moments of calm — and know how to return to them.
• You will sleep more deeply and wake with less dread.
• You will feel less afraid of your own reactions.
• You will have simple tools to steady yourself when anxiety rises.

Most importantly:

You will know in your body that this is not forever.

How Whitin works

WITHIN is a 6-week live, guided online program.

We meet for six 75 minute sessions on Saturdays at 10am (plus an additional 20 mins to stay and chat after if you wish to).

Each session includes:

• Gentle, grounding movement
• Breath-led practices to calm your nervous system
• Guided meditation
• Practical tools you can use during the week
• Optional sharing space if you would like connection

You will also receive:

• Session replays
• Short and longer guided audio practices for morning and bedtime
• A short “anxiety spike” grounding audio
• A downloadable Safety Toolkit PDF
• Lifetime access to all recordings from this cohort

This cohort is intentionally capped at 15 people so the space feels contained, safe, and personal.

You do not have to perform here.

You do not have to speak if you don’t want to.

You are held by the structure.

What happens each week

Each week will incorporate somatic movement, breathing exercises and mediation but with a different empahsis and discovery/understanding:

Week 1 – Understanding survival mode
You’ll learn what’s actually happening in your body.
We begin noticing where you hold tension and how your nervous system responds to stress.

Week 2 – Interrupting the alarm
Breathwork and simple resets to help you pause spirals and soften intensity.

Week 3 – Releasing held tension
Gentle somatic movement for hips, chest and jaw — the places we often brace without realising.

Week 4 – Daily stabilisers
Morning and evening rituals.
Small, doable changes that support sleep, energy and steadiness.

Week 5 – Staying with emotion safely
Learning how to feel without being hijacked.
Creating personal anchors and reassurance tools for looping thoughts.

Week 6 – Integration
You leave with a toolkit.
Practices you can repeat easily so your nervous system continues building strength beyond the program.

Investment and Dates

Program begins: Saturday 14th March 2026 at 10am (then weekly until 18th April 2026)

Your investment: £445

This cohort is intentionally small — 15 women — so the space remains intimate and steady.

Do you live in a different time zone?

You might be wondering…

Because this is different from most grief support. And you may have questions.

Is this like a yoga class?

No.

This is not a performance-based yoga session.

The movements are slow, simple and body-led.
There is no choreography to follow.
No expectation to “get it right.”

This is about helping your nervous system soften — not improving flexibility or fitness (but that could be a by-product).

What if I’m not flexible or I have physical limitations?

That’s completely okay.

Movements are simple and adaptable.
You can do much of this seated or lying down.

There is no expectation of how your body should look or move.

You are not being assessed.

What if I don’t want to share or talk?

You never have to.

There is optional space at the end of each session for connection if you would like it.

But you are not required to speak.

You can simply arrive, practice, and leave.

The structure holds you.

I’ve tried therapy. How is this different?

Talking therapy works with the mind.

WITHIN works with the nervous system.

When the body is still braced, insight often doesn’t land.

We begin with safety in the body first.

Then clarity and steadiness naturally follow.

Is this suitable if I am newly widowed?

If you are in the very early days or weeks of loss and feel acutely overwhelmed, 1:1 support may feel more appropriate.

If you are a few months in (or many years in) and feel stuck in survival mode, this work can be deeply supportive.

If you’re unsure, you can email me.

What if my grief is years old?

This work is not about “how long ago.”

It’s about how your body feels now.

Many women years into widowhood are still living in braced survival mode.

Time alone does not always soften the nervous system.

What if I can’t attend one of the live sessions?

All sessions are recorded.

You will have lifetime access to the recordings from this cohort.

You can revisit them as often as you wish.

Is this therapy?

No.

This is trauma-informed somatic movement and nervous system support.

It can sit beautifully alongside therapy.

But it is not a replacement for clinical or psychiatric care.

I feel guilty spending money on myself. Is this selfish?

This is one of the most common thoughts I hear.

But caring for your nervous system is not indulgent.

It is foundational.

When you feel steadier, everything else becomes more manageable.

You are allowed support.

What if nothing has worked for me before?

That’s often exactly why women come.

Because talking hasn’t changed how their body feels.

This work is simple.

Repetitive.

Gentle.

And it meets the nervous system where it actually lives.

You are not broken. Your body adapted to something catastrophic. And it can learn something different. If you are ready to feel steadier — not “fixed,” not forced forward — just steadier… I would love to welcome you into this space. We begin March 14.
